Here’s the perfect recipe for the perfect destination wedding in Sorrento. 2 amazing folks from Minnesota, a gang of equally awesome guests from across the US, and one of the most beautiful places in Sorrento. Job done! And when we say ‘one of the most beautiful places’, we’re really not joking! Palazzo Marziale, found in the heart of Sorrento, is a family-run luxury boutique hotel, originally built in the 15th century. Yep, it’s really that old. But, one of the most amazing things about this truly epic destination wedding experience was that, despite standing for so long, the hotel saw a first with these guys. No one, in the history of Palazzo Marziale, has held their wedding ceremony in the tree-lined lobby of the hotel. Allison & Alex’s ceremony was scheduled to take place in the cloisters, just over the road, but the weather closed in and, after a 25-minute wait, we got our heads together with Rita (Palazzo Marziale’s amazing manager) and our couple and came up with a pretty kick-ass ‘plan C’. 10 minutes later, Allison & Alex were kicking off their ceremony, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, right there in the hotel lobby. We cannot tell you how special it was to be a part of!
